Joker's Cards
The Joker's (Heath Ledger) existence is hinted at the end of the 2005 film Batman Begins, where Lieutenant James Gordon (Gary Oldman) tells Batman (Christian Bale) of an armed robber who leaves Joker playing cards at scenes of his crimes. He later appears in the 2008 sequel, The Dark Knight, portrayed by Heath Ledger, who told Sarah Lyall of The New York Times that he viewed that film's version of the character as a "psychopathic, mass murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy." These are the Joker’s cards he would use to antagonize Batman and the citizens of Gotham City while also leaving them behind once he had committed a crime.
